CFGC is a great place to work for so many reasons, but the most significant to me is the people—CFGC staff are leaders, dedicated to helping children and families and committed to making a difference in our community.
Meredith Sheldon, LCSW, Program Manager, TBSI knew I wanted to be a teacher, but not once had I thought of teaching students with special needs. I approach my position at Northpoint believing that our students are capable of accepting and raising the challenges, achieving lofty goals and overcoming negative feelings they may have for themselves or others. I strive to provide each group with a quality, challenging and meaningful education. I especially enjoy hearing from former students who have graduated when they return for a visit or call to let me know what they’re doing. They show my current students that anything can be achieved.
Gilbert MunozI have been a staff psychologist in the Lancaster and Palmdale offices since 2004. I love working at Child and Family Guidance Center! The majority of my caseload is in the 0-5 program. I embrace the ideas of allowing our clients and their families to discover their strengths and empowering them to enjoy their lives to the fullest. I love the people I work with! They are dedicated professionals and also incredibly kind human beings who provide a warm and caring atmosphere. I’m so proud to call them my colleagues!
Ceil Arbetman-Larkin, PhDWorking in community mental health where underprivileged children and families are not always provided the best care is very important to me. One of my goals is to close the disparity gap and I feel working at the Child and Family Guidance Center provides an excellent environment for me to accomplish that goal.
